Trinity Episcopal Church was founded in 1771 on church Street in Brooklyn, CT. About 2 miles form our newer church and parish house. It is currently the oldest active Episcpal Church in the state! And althoug it has no plumbing or other modern conveniences, we hold an annual Independence Day service there and a Lessons and Carols servcice around the December holiday season. The church is surrounded by a burial ground that has, for 250 years, provided a final resting place for all manner of God’s beloved children in this corner of God’s good world from the enslaved people who built the church to many of its clergy and dozens of its parishioners and their families. We are in the process of gathering a history team to help us understand and share our deep and rich story with truth and passion and integrity. Stay tuned.

Our current church was built in 1866 and has been a vibrant center of Episcopal worship and work in the world for over 150 years. We are committed to community worship and formation for all ages. We are deeply grounded in prayer and pastoral care. And we have always connected with and contributed to the world around us with a mighty commitment to God’s children and creation in every form.
You are loved by God, and welcome here!
